The Taj Mahal is world famous for being a monument of love from a husband to his wife. It took 22 years to build and its beauty is breathtaking. One can only imagine the complexity of the relationship between the emperor and his wife. She accompanied him on his travels and war campaigns and it was on such a trip that she lost her life bringing their 13th child into the world.
A dramatic and beautiful story which inspired this blend of tea.
A true Indian style Chai, this blend is based on good strong Indian and Kenyan teas blended with an ancient spice recipe. The taste is heavenly - ginger and cardamom intermingle with cinnamon, cloves and hints of black pepper. Three mystery flower petals reminiscent of love finish the blend beautifully.
There are many ways to prepare a chai - even within one family! Here at Brackendale Tea Co this is how we do it; half-and-half milk of choice and water brought to a simmer on the stove, add a teaspoon of tea, allow it to simmer gently for 2 minutes then remove from heat and allow it to "sit" for a further 2 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste. If pressed for time, prepare as for a black tea and add milk/sugar.
